Sorry i'm a bit behind the news, has Rooney actually asked for a move or is it more newspaper babble?

1.) 09 May 2013
He has asked about it! However it was 2 weeks ago (After the title was secured)! Change in manager could again change the equations!

2.) 09 May 2013
Hard to say, but 3 weeks ago a lot of places reported that Rooney wanted a new deal? Now the same people say 2 weeks ago he told Utd he wanted to leave.

Just seems like rubbish to me, trying to continue the united hype at the moment.

Strange that this information is suddenly in the public domain isn't it?especially as it doesn't make Rooney look good does it?

Why would that become public knowledge at this time of such change?

Cheers, haven't really had a chance to get at the media today with work being busy.

Red Man, who knows, odd timing?

5.) 09 May 2013
Odd timing? strange. Why do we suddenly know the inner workings of United when we haven't known this sort of thing before and suddenly we find out Rooney had asked for a transfer two weeks before a new manager is appointed who had a well publicised court case battle against him now putting Rooney is worse light? Whatever, what will be will be

Not really strange timing at all. Rooney has not been committed to us all season and it's no surprise he wants out. The difficulty will be finding a club that wants him that he's prepared to go to. He certainly wouldn't want to go to a team not in the Champions League that wasn't prepared to pay him megabucks, hence forget Spurs.
