So Txiki Begiristain is who he met? A Barca legend trying to talk him into moving to City? Didn't turn out well for Nasri when Veira did the same.

If only SAF had words with Thiago, as an ambassador i'm sure we'd get him.

From what I heard as a RUMOUR, Was that Abramovich was in Israel for president Shimon Peres birthday and he is using the trip to look for talent for chelski, And Thiago is on his radar. (TheInvisibleMan)

The best players are on everybody's radar. The slight advantage United may have over Chelsea is that Thiago may not favour playing under Mourinho due to his spell in Spain.

Thiago wants to play regularly so he can push for a place at the World cup. Will he get those opportunities at Chelsea and City? I'm not sure. But I know he would get that chance at United. It was like watching a young Scholes the other night. I really hope we get him.

Pretty sure the interesting people are from Chelsea. Hope we can convince him to join United but i'm becoming less and less confident now. Barcelona do have a definite interest in at least a couple of Chelsea players. Bergiristain is another obstacle from City. And then there is the Guardiola factor from Bayern Munich.

I don't know where this will leave Manchester United to be honest, but he will get the most amount of playing time at United there is no question about that, so if the World Cup is what he is concerned about and is playing time is what finally decides where he ends up, then hopefully its us. With the figures being talked about, don't think money will be an issue.

Surely it would have been unfortunate had he have met City representatives?

Thanks for the info Ed002!

Seems as though it is up to the player as I'm assuming Barca would want to hold onto such a talented player!

Would love to see him playing in the red of Manchester United next season!

He met Roman Abrahmovic it was the catalan newspaper this morning that he was there to watch Thiago so it must be him

Seen a few rumours Abrahamovic was trying to speak to him or did? Why is there "no question" he will get mor playing time at Utd than City or Chelsea though Redfaith I don't particularly agree, he would walk into the City side for me alongside Fernandhino and Toure. i'm no less worried than I was before all thes rumours. If he DOES indeed leave Barcelona, and his move isn't money motivated or city and culture motivated I think we have as much chance if not more than any of the other clubs in for him. I say this with hope as god seeing him in a City or Chelsea shirt would make me sick! Please not another summer muppet dream of despair

He has the most chance of regular playing time at United mate. We practically have just Carrick and Cleverley as proper CMs. He would be first choice for every game.

At City he has to compete with a lot more players like Toure, Fernandinho, Milner, Silva, Nasri (attacking midfield) and Isco if he joins them. At Chelsea they have Mata, Oscar, Ramires, Mikel, Essien coming back. At Bayern Martinez, Schweinsteiger, Kroos, Goetze.

Definitely more gametime at United.
