In your valued opinion ed 2 do you think that united can deliver Ronaldo with in the next 2 transfer windows.

{Ed002's Note - It is fair to say that there is the possibility of Ronaldo moving in either January or next summer if a tense situation with Real Madrid cannot be resolved. Jorge Mendes has spoken with the player and the club and he has indeed raised the possibility of a transfer when meeting with Chelsea at Cobham as recently as Wednesday. He may well have raised the matter with Manchester United as well. However, I would doubt a move to Manchester United would be possible in January and regardless of that wages would be a major stumbling block. Next summer? Anyone's guess at this time and much will depend on what happens this season.}

Thanks ed, hopefully we can get him and not Chelsea. Would be gutted to see that. I do expect him to leave though.

2.) 11 Sep 2014
Seriously doubt he would go to Chelsea. Though if Hazard wants real Chelsea would probs try and use him as a make weight for Ronnie.

3.) 11 Sep 2014
Great player as he is Ronaldo will be 30 in February and his combined transfer fee and wages of approx £300,000 per week would be hard to justify.

4.) 12 Sep 2014
I think you can put Ronaldo in the same bracket as Giggs, a player who keeps themselves in such peak physical condition they could play well into their 30's

5.) 12 Sep 2014
Would preffered Reus over Ronaldo.

Prodigal,
You doubt Ronaldo would go to Chelsea why exactly? I think you are believing what you want to believe rather than the truth. Ed002 just told you that his agent has told Chelsea there is a chance of a transfer, why exactly would he do that if Ronaldo wouldn't go there?

If you look at our squad, it is pretty darn good now. We have a few world class names: De Gea, Rooney, Van Persie, Di Maria, Mata and Falcao. We have players who will improve greatly this year: Jones, Herrera, Shaw and Januzaj. We also have young players breaking through with a bright future in Wilson, Blackett and Pereira. We still have some who I don't think are United quality and will be replaced.

I'm hoping that Young will go and be replaced with Ronaldo and Fletcher/Anderson will go to be replaced by Strootman. That will make up a very trim but classy 25 man squad.

8.) 12 Sep 2014
Kostareject Would prefer Reus over Ronaldo. Lol something is affecting your judgement.

9.) 12 Sep 2014
Don't think so. Transfer would for 55M£-60M£. Ronaldo will be 30 in February, transfer fee and wages approx 300,000 per week. Reus 25M£, 24 year, and wage max 150,000 per week, and you have player for the future. Would not pay for 30 year old player 60M£, even he was CR, make no sense.

Playing ability wise Ronaldo is the man but I agree with your logic, I would choose Reus over Ronaldo too.

11.) 12 Sep 2014
Never understood supporters being arsed about what the club pay for players. i'd rather they spend all the money on an aging ronaldo than line the pockets of the glazers. Weve had years of that, time to throw off the shackles.

12.) 12 Sep 2014
Totally agree. Why are fans so bothered about how much we pay for players/ wages. If United bought CR back to the club they'd make absolute millions from shirt sales, advertising etc. Just enjoy it. Imagine him wearing a Chelsea or City shirt!

13.) 12 Sep 2014
Kosta a very good point, however I would still take Ronaldo purely due to blind romance.
I can honestly say it would break my heart if he joined Chelsea😭😭 oh god I've turned into bridget Jones I'm going to take my bra off and watch emmerdale.😳😳😳😳

14.) 13 Sep 2014
Supporters are bothered about how much we spend on players because blasting all our budget on one player like Ronaldo, could possibly mean we don't have sufficient means to acquire the world class CM & CB that we need more at this moment in time. We could be shopping in the 2nd tier market again if we aren't careful.

Its alright saying it's not our money, but if the money runs out then it kind of is like our money!

15.) 13 Sep 2014
Beast, we will almost certainly get Strootman and to be honest, no world class centre backs are available, they are few and far between. I'd be happy of we got Strootman and Ronaldo and didn't sign a centre half. Out score the opposition.

16.) 14 Sep 2014
Fresh I don't understand your certainty about strootman as think Roma will put a very pretty price on him moving, I don't know how long his contract is but know he signed in last couple of seasons so would expect he has a few years left and Roma can thus play hard ball over price. With regard Ronaldo I would obviously love him back but agree we shouldn't pay loads on him to the detriment of other areas needing attention as he could easily pick up an injury that puts him out for a long period. We could feasibly buy two quality CB for what he may cost and wages wise.

do you think chelsea have the financial capabilities to sign him Ed002?

{Ed002's Note - The major stumbling block to anyone signing him will be the wages. I would think he might be looking for one last hooray with a three or four year deal before retiring to a film career in Hollywood - perhaps a year or two on the US circuit.

I also suspect that if Real Madrid accept he is going to leave that they may look for a straight swap with Aguero. Don't be surprised.}

giggs played on untill he was 38, but had to change position and come inside, CR hasn't got the legs to play on the wing for to much longer. so where would CR fit in when we have just bought all the talent

19.) 15 Sep 2014
He's be class as a center forward, if you ask me. Strong as an ox, sharp reflexes, skill in the box, and fantastic in the air.

20.) 16 Sep 2014
Fair shout Cjmax, and the guy is fit as a fiddle i do think there are many years left in him, and having di maria can only make him want to move even more, let's hope RM keep on getting poor results
