Ed001, presuming Gomez is an instead of clyne for Liverpool what are the options ahead of him now is it just stay at Saints or are united still holding interest?

{Ed001's Note - United still hold an interest, though they are looking at alternatives. He is talking over a new contract with Southampton, if the talks fail I expect them to sell him immediately, probably to United as they are the ones left showing most interest. Though the way Liverpool are acquiring players the last couple of summers, I can't really rule them out of jumping in!}

Great info Ed thanks, do you know who the alternatives are to clyne? Yes Liverpool seem to be doing deals at a great pace last year and this.
On a seperate note, the way transfers work, is it that United are more methodical in their approach and Liverpool are more risqué shall we say or is it just groundwork is done quicker when required? i.e with Firmino.

Thanks for detailed info Ed001 - respect to your side for their ballsy approach to transfers so far (Milner will be great buy) Still think you're missing a Centre Half and a goal poacher though - if you get these, you'll be challenging next year. And so will Arsenal if they get Cech and Schneiderlin. Hope Ed and VG know what they're doing and are quietly sorting everything out behind the scenes.

{Ed001's Note - not sure we are missing a centre half, we just need to get rid of Skrtel and the defence will be much better without him. Cech is a fantastic signing for Arsenal. I fully expect Man Utd to invest too, the money is there, it is just finding the right players to spend it on.}

If you're not sure you need a centre half and you get rid of skrtel then how can u claim like you did the other day that Liverpool have better replacements for the first eleven than United or arsenal? Lovren sakho toure illori. Liverpool clearly need more strength in depth at the back.
