Jones barely plays so i'd be happy with that! Stones has potential so would need a season or two to bed in and create a partnership with Smalling.

Isn't Jones out with a rather serious injury currently?

What we do have over Chelski is cash plus 2 or 3 proven premier league central defenders to exchange. the boy doesn't have to upsticks residentially and noticed that he did waive goodbye to Everton fans last night. This would be a tremendous purchase, Smalling and Stones could develop together long term and also intergrate to be Englands central defenders too.

Make sense swapping jones plus cash for stones. Don't think Everton would accept with jones and his niggling injuries.
Our targets should be a quality striker and decent centre back , I'm sure there is someone in Europe who we could get for around the 20 . 25 million mark for the centre back role.
Would have loved Otemendi but when City have sheik ya money , we have little hope of competing with transfer fees and wages , woody and van gaal like value for money , but it's quite clear we need another 2 or 3 names to add to our squad, hopefully a stellar name will still come in before sept 1st

Otamendi was well over priced

Do any of the Eds know if Everton would prefer a cash + player deal? From what I've heard Martinez isn't prepared to sell without a replacement

{Ed001's Note - they don't want any deal.}
