Hello Ed002
Considering the thin size of squad and am sure management has also realised it while discussing some players in Red Zone. Do you know any January targets for any positions? Young, experienced any?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what "Red Zone" is, sorry. It is also difficult to try and separate the concept of "January targets" from "targets the club are interested in".

Generally clubs do not plan to make significant signings in January - and this coming January I am only expecting two clubs to spend anything like a very large sum of money, and that is not Manchester United.

I can tell you where the club are interested in players like Mustafi, Anderson, Otamendi, Nainggolan and Muller, I would still not be surprised to see Manchester United turn to Stones in the summer. Guedes, Kane, etc., etc. are not really going to be top of any January list.

What I can't tell you is if Manchester United would look to make any of this happen in January.}

What about Bale Ed? Ian Ladyman is adamant LVG wants him and he is the only journo Woodward talks to now.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained the situation with Bale. Nothing has changed. If Real Madrid can find someone to pay well over the odds for him then he can move on.

I have no idea what Ladyman has said on the subject - but he did spend August telling the Manchester United fans he would be signed in the summer when I explained that was not going to happen that late in the Window. Pay over the odds and Manchester United can buy him. LvG wanted Depay real bad and put his money there - he wasn't ready and you were told over and over again that Depay was not yet ready to move.

This kid with a new credit card approach to transfers does not work.}

i think we had to act for depay earlier because of the psg interest.

we should be aiming for a partner for smalling and another cf.

{Ed002's Note - Sorry - you might want to search the site.}

Hi Ed, you have said several times that you don't think Depay was ready, with that in mind what do you this the options are for MU, would a loan move be best do you think?
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - There won't be a decision before the summer. I suspect he will stay.}

Do you not think it would be a kind of kick in the ass for the player? After a big money move to then move on after a year weather it be a loan or whatever?

{Ed002's Note - As I said, I expect he will stay. The club screwed up - the kid is immature and they knew that - what can they expect Neil?}

Don't recal Ladyman saying we were going to get him Ed (? ) only that we would keep trying and that due to his long contract this coming summer or after was more likely.

{Ed002's Note - I am pretty sure he was the guy, your superhero, who kept saying it was going to happen.}

Ed red zone is a thing mentioned by LVG for some squad members being not fully fit or burnt out in busy schedule. That's due to very small squad. That's for most positions. Woodward himself has called in summer that we will have 2 good players competing for each position. But that hasn't been a case. No cover at LB, RB, CB, RW, LW, ST.
A couple of injuries can ruin the season.
Anyway I am sure you will put your valuable feedback time in time out.

{Ed002's Note - LB = Shaw/Rojo; RB = Darmain/Varela/Jones; CB = Smalling/Jones/McNair/Blind/ ...... - Manchester United has a 29 man first team squad registered with the Premier League - it is neither small nor lacking cover. What I guess you are saying is that you don't like the players - that is an entirely different matter.}

Ed,

That is exactly what he is saying, we have adequate cover in most positions but some people are unwilling to see that, whether we have the quality to maintain a challenge is a different matter but we are hardly struggling to field 11 players every week and most weeks our bench looks pretty strong with a decent amount of rotation especially round the midfield.

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea what your point is - he is saying the squad is "thin" and "small". It isn't.}

Ed, re Bale - He said it will happen eventually but that it was unlikely to happen soon due to the length of his contract.

{Ed002's Note - You really need to be asking these questions of you, clearly reliable, friend on Twitter and not posting and asking me anything. I struggle to see why you visit this page. I have zero interest in arguing - I can tell you what I know - but as you have some much more reliable information from this chap - just leave me alone. Better still - why not just share what he tells you and I will not bother with this page any longer?}

@Ed002

I suspect you mean John Richardson, the journalist from the express.

Also, do we still maintain an interest in Felipe Anderson and are there any other wingers/wide forwards that we are interested in?

{Ed002's Note - I don't read the papers and have no idea who you are talking about. Ladyman or whatever his name is works for a buddy of mine hence I know who he is.

I have previously said where I know of interest.}

Ed I ask you questions because you seem to know more than me, but I am informed by people at United that Ladyman is the only source that the club give info to. my opinions are just based on that, sorry if it offends you but it seems very diffcult not to offend you going by previous experience. Though insiteful, I have to say that there seems to be a distinct bias/agenda on this site in terms of what makes the edit and what doesn't. Whether it is club focused bias or not I don't know but 002 you seem very anti united and pro Chelsea in your comments (que this post not making the cut) .

{Ed002's Note - You have to be some sort of halfwit - if the club are telling you that they are using Ladyman as their mouth piece to leak information in to the public domian, then the club are lying to you. As for Chelsea or whatever bias you have read in to this post, there is none - and frankly I cannot see that I have made any reference to Chelsea in these answers. So my advice is to follow every word of your super hero and the only person who knows anything about Manchester United and don't bother me with questions. I have made it clear here and to the Chelsea page, that there is zero point in me providing anything when all I get is "well TubbyRed on Twitter said Messi is coming in January, so there". That is what you are happy with, go with Twitter here on in.

As for the "que this post not making the cut" nonsense, it just shows you to be the fuckwit that you are.}

I'm speaking of posts in general Ed not this one in particular. Anyway the editor always woins in this situation so there is no point in arguing with you.

{Ed002's Note - Well with me gone I am sure the others will look to you and your access to Twitter and all of the other bullshit for guidance.}

I don't intend to post here any longer. .............

{Ed002's Note - Suits us just fine - you come along with all of your bullshit with what the club has told you about there methods of leaking information in to the public domain. You drive me away from bothering and now you are unwilling to share all of the nonsense you little friend shares with you - great job at screwing everything up here for everyone else. Personally, I really can't be bothered with another trolling knuckle-dragger like you.}
