So not only does LVG want a fast winger in January, but he also wants cover for Luke Shaw.

Does this mean that Rojo is on his way? Because for me he is an excellent left back, especially as a second choice left back. I don't see the need to spend money to buy a new left back. I also have no idea who he could be targeting.

In terms of wingers, I suspect we will push for Mane. The likes of Neymar, Hazard, Ronaldo etc do not leave clubs in January - it would be a pointless chase. So I suspect Mane to be one of two signings in January. It'll be another £40 million spent.

Fresh. We are short at center also. Rojo is initially a center defender.

I would just go for Mane if he were to be available. I'd be happy with that alone.

Borthwick-Jackson didn't look out of his depth in the 20 minutes he played on Saturday when he replaced Rojo and, he was up against Sessegnon who was their best player and a constant threat. Tuanzebe was on the bench the week before so, there is obvious belief in them. Shaw will be back before the season's out. Why spend on a left back when we need strengthening in other areas. Mane would be an excellent buy as he's unpredictable and offers something different to what we have. Mata is a lovely player but he's not a right winger as he can't beat people for pace and needs to play more central.

I think realistically we will never get the likes of Neymar to leave Barcelona, or Muller to leave Bayern. So Mane would be a really good option for us.

is mane not right footed?

I think he is GCU, why? We need a right sided player more than a left.

In terms of a right sided forward, is Hulk available?

since rojo has knuckled down i think he has been very good in the last month.

Why can't Depay play on the right and see how he goes?

A right footer on the right is far too conventional for LVG.

Liked seeing Borthwick-Jackson get his chance, got to give LVG credit for that part of the 'philosophy'.

Does kind of have a T-Rex thing going on with his hands when he runs though.

Di Maria would be nice on the right.

Mane isa good player, however the ACON is a massive pain in the arse.

I think we will buy a left footer for the right hand side, so i would only take notice of being linked to players who are your inverted wingers type.

The reason Depay does not like playing there is because he will have to go to the by line most of the time and he likes to come inside from the left on his right foot all the time.
