Lots of reports today than united are trying to finalise a deal for Felipe Anderson I'm guessing for the rw position. Do you have any info ed? Take it easy this evening and be wary of too much gin and champagne. Happy new year.

{Ed002's Note - Atletico Madrid had approached Lazio about taking Filipe Anderson as a replacement for Arda Turan but Lazio offered him a new contract which he was happy to agree to. Right now the interest of Atletico and Manchester City has gone. Wolfsburg, and Manchester United remain interested but he will not come cheaply and that will likely remove Wolfsburg from the equation. Manchester United are going to bite the bullet and make an offer they see as sufficient - and after a very patchy start to the season Lazio may be willing to accept it without too much negotiation as it is likely the best offer they will get.

If a price can be agreed then the transfer can happen in January. I will predict now that it will be a bit of a bumpy ride with him initially as it is going to be a real culture shock.}

I think he will start off as a bit of a Nani, but hopefully will improve to a high level. We need a right sided player anyway and other targets like Bale and Mané are quite unattainable at this stage.

I could see this coming off and then Mané in the summer.

Going by the OP it sounds like you're pretty sure Anderson will sign? Or perhaps in not allowed to post here anymore. I've heard that Bale is the no 1 and that we have a bid for him on the table with real. Could even happen in January.

I liked Nani as a player. Good enough for our squad given its current state.
