SAF had decided on his retirement in December, while the news only broke a day or two before his actual announcement. Same with Moyes' appointment. Jose to united is like Pep to City, an open secret in the football world.
May be a deal hasn't been signed, but it looks more than likely that it is going to be Mourinho come July. We can be sure of one thing though, LVG won't be here next season. 002 said as much in February.

Great post RedSeven. Could be a reason why Woody shouts his mouth off more than what we would consider normal. He feels "obligated" to spell out his intentions so that shareholders and potential shareholders are fully aware of the clubs plans, although I'm probably reading too much into that as it could be counter productive to the running of the business as well.

I notice Zlatan £250k a week everywhere today!

There may be no legally binding agreement that the shareholders need to know about but that does not exclude the possibility of a firm "understanding" possibly even in writing. Until there is actually a contract there is officially nothing happening.

I would love Jose and zlatan. Who cares how much we pay, isn't my money, zlatan at old Trafford would be amazing.

GDS

I agree, Zlatan has that Cantona aura about him. I said the same thing last week.

He's a fantastic player, but he's 34 years old.
I don't think it's a good idea to get him at 300,000 pounds a week this late in his career.
But that's just me I guess.

Rooney on 300k and Falcao was on 250k a week! One thing about Zlatan is your guaranteed Goals! If falcao was worth the risk zlatan definitely is! IMO!
