I was told a couple of days back from a very reliable source that Mourinho will be United's next manager. I didn't post it here because it slightly goes against what one of the Eds was saying last week and I value their views as much as anyone's. One thing I will say is the source who unfortunately has to remain nameless rarely gives me any information but when they do it's been good information.

I think it's about time the club came out and give some solid indication who the next manager maybe.
If it's going to be Van Gaal they we should be knowing, Giggs does not warrant the job in my opinion, he needs to prove himself first in the lower leagues
Gary Neville thought it would be easy, looked were that got him.
Reports in press saying Fergie and Charlton have now changed their minds regarding Jose.
Why should an ex manager and ex player have any saying on who comes in next .
We can all remember David Moye, s tender ( fergies choice . Massive failure .
Other clubs are forthright with their fans, Man city have Pep, Chelsea have Conte . Us however are always left to stew over the closed season second guessing what is happening.
Come on Woody, sack the iron tulip, Get Jose onboard and please don't even consider Giggs for the biggest job in world football.
If fans are not listened too, Their support will wain rapidly, empty stadiums damage clubs, We are getting to a point were fans are losing faith in the club, Time they repaid the faithful with some home truths.
No to Van Gaal or Giggs
Big fat yes for Jose.

The first rule of politics, if you are dealing with a question or someone has made a statement suggesting something. If the question is not dealt with directly or the question is deflected it is reasonable to assume the answer.

In this case the club have kept quiet and allowed the rumours to build and have avoided/ deflected the question.

It shows a fine command of the English Language to say nothing.

Why do so many seem to want Jose?

Are people actually expecting to see a more attacking style of play under Jose?

I know the whole "park the bus" thing may not be an entirely fair reflection on him, but I certainly can't see a team under him ever being called adventurous. He's hardly renowned for bringing through youth players either (although he has brought a few youngsters into his first teams)

I'll be glad to see the back of LVG's cautious possession football and constant playing of players out of position.

Thorne,

People can perhaps forgive a slight lack of amazing attacking football if we are challenging and winning games like we should be. The ideal is for attacking football and trophies but they go hand in hand don't they?

We beat Villa 1-0 on Saturday and we were holding the ball in the corner after 85 minutes panicking they might score. Mourinho would be coming in at a time where his style of play will be seen as all out attack compared to the garbage we have seen this season.

His Madrid team scored over 100 goals and 100 points. In 03/ 04 04/ 05 they had one of the best attacks in duff robben drogba.

All this "Jose doesn't give youth a chance" is nonsense, he played loads of young players at Porto and Inter. In his bigger profile roles at Madrid and Chelsea could it be the club's instant demand for success rather than his own personal choice?

jose has given 23 youth players a start in 15 years facts are on paper websites google it if u don't belive me man utd has always been starting youth and making stars not buying them x.

phillips19866 do tell me who these stars are, take out class of 92 which much like fergie will never happen again and we are left with fletcher, john oshea, welbeck, cleverley and wes brown these are the only names that come to mind that came from our youth setup that is in what 26 years fergie managing us and none of them stars,

We always bought big players that is our history may be u should google the no of time utd broke the transfer record cantona, keane, veron, ferdinand, cole, staam, berbatov etc. just because u dislike mourinho don't start inventing facts.

Cantona only cost a million mate, but United usually try and buy players with promise and make them into stars. Bruce, Irwin, Staam, Kanchelskis, Keane, Ince, Sharpe etc. Those players cost relatively little compared to today's prices, but with the likes of city, Chelsea, Liverpool and ourselves wanting instant success the prices for even unproven modest players has gone through the roof. I don't want LVG at my club but he has stumbled across some great young players this season and hopefully they will be given the chance to shine next season alongside some top quality new signings.
