I would believe Walter mitty before I believe sky we all know that no official agreement has been reached I'm not overly thrilled about mourihno but from what I see I would imagine it's nailed on hopefully lvg leaves on a high after winning a trophy and getting us champions league football.

Eds, any word on other alternatives being considered?

Or are there only two probable scenarios: LVG staying or Mourinho replacing him?

{Ed025's Note - it seems that way to me thorne..

I wonder if season ticket sales may affect that decision. There will be a strong core who will renew but if LVG stays some may not. There must be a reason why they extended the renewal deadline and not just because of the final. The number of empty seats at the recent Palace home game could not be missed and Woodward would be a fool to ignore it.

The players, the fans and the shareholders do not seem to believe in LVG and that makes it very difficult. Fickle? No, he was brought in incorrectly in most people's eyes and if retained next season it should be rather easy for you to get the tickets you have been missing out on whilst on the other side of the world.

To be fair Red Man there are already plenty of season tickets available this week before renewal date in particular in the Sir Alex Stand and East Stand. I'd say they'll struggle to shift them all.
