From what I've heard we are soon going to be submitting a 25M + Mata bid for Willian.
Mourinho see's Willian as the key signing for us this summer and Conte (from what I've been told) is a fan of Mata's style and see's him as a key player in his plans so the deal should go through smoothly. Personally I'm not a huge Willian fan although I think he could improve our front 3.

That seems a bit ridiculous to me. We paid Chelsea 37 for him and now you think we're going to give him back plus 25m? They'd be lucky to get 25m for Willian without a swap!

I do like Willian and think his energy and brain will be great assets, and Mata was loved at Chelsea. It makes sense on paper but obviously there will be no end of complexities.

I think we have to accept that we pay 20-50% more than any other club would for players, so the £37m pricetag for Mata we paid should be ignored imo. Probably worth £25m max, hardly pulled up trees in his time here and not favoured by JM.

Mata seems like a nice guy, but so is my pizza delivery guy!
