Fellaini has been sent home from the Belgium squad with a calf injury he pick up in the Swansea game.

Probably didn't want to mention it to anyone at United . Not the best time to say "boss I'm injured"

I think jones was injured as usual. Just didn't have the balls to say it to jose 😁.

Grown men being afraid to speak about a legitimate injury is concerning. I'm all for men being men, but this could get messy fast - all it takes is somebody like Jones concealing a double skull fracture after headbutting a wall in training and we could have carnage.

Agents and Employment lawyers are on their marks I imagine!

I don't know the situation with Smalling but Joses comments regarding Shaw was pretty bad imo. Shaws obviously not fully recovered that leg break and I'd say he's entitled to be wary when he's not feeling anything close to 100% getting on that field! For Jose to pinpoint him out is a tad farce to me and shows Joses lack of understanding towards players he should be connecting with on a personal level. He doesn't know or understand his players, he doesn't know who he can't trust and who will perform to there best for him. But that doesn't mean he should throw them under the bus or question there loyalty as soon he gets the chance too.

Weather Jose is right or wrong, running to the press every time something is said about you won't help the situation at all.
All this Luke Shaw is baffled about the comments nonsense has obviously come from his side.
This is exactly what Jose is talking about. They are just so thick and stupid they feel they need to reply publicly.

I agree with Shaw not being fully recovered but a couple of points:
Firstly, if he wasnt 100% he shouldn't have come back irregardless of fault. Possibly both sides
Secondly, he doesn't seem to do himself any favours weight and fitness level wise. He certainly carries a bit too much timber and is nowhere near his previous (pre Injury) fitness level.
Just a thought; could JM be a tad peed off that he didn't get him at his previous club?

They say when you're on the recovery from the leg break it's not just physically that you need to recover, Mentally too. This could be a reason for Shaw to declare himself unfit. You cannot rush somebody who suffered an injury like the way he did. He may have come back prematurely but that was because he wanted to prove himself to a new manager! His performances haven't been top level we know he can reach, his leg may not be 100% or it may be mentally but in these cases you should hold back the player until what ever it is, gets resolved. And tbh I don't think Jose minds too much Shaw picked United over chelski, Jose himself wanted to come to United in the first instance when SAF retired!

Shaw hasn't been rushed back or come back too soon.

He had recovered at the end of last season and had 2/ 3 months to get fit til the start of this season.

Shaw needs to put the burgers down and grow up a little. It's time to decide if he wants to be United and England's first choice left back for the next 10 years or just have an easier life, collect the cash and go through the motions at a Sunderland. Granted, the leg break has put the breaks on his career and is bound to have a huge mental effect on him . He was one of our best players under LVG - when fit! However that's the point. You can't play at the top level and abuse your body the way he reportedly does.
