Sunday Mirror report we are in for Donnaruma.

Express report De Gea pushing to go to Real and is concerned he will miss his chance if Courtois goes.

Probably elements of truth in both.

Donnaruma would be a sound replacement.

I don't think he will go. he's had ample opportunity before and not done so. Spanish or not I think he will be with us after the Summer.

If R. Madrid come knocking DeGea will go, no doubt about it.
Donnaruma will be the next big thing IMO, he has already played 50+ games of top level football and at such a young age still, he could be with us for 15years.

Only way De Gea leaves United if he puts in a transfer request in, United will obviously fight tooth and nail to keep him here, personally why do you want leave, your likely going to be United no1 until your retire unlike Real Madrid where they will either toss you out when you start declining or the next De Gea comes along.

@Gordon when he had the chance to go he took it and a fax machine kept him at Utd.

The way the article is pitched is if Courtois signs he won't get the chance to go back to Spain playing at the elite level as ter Stegan and Courtois as youngish. And that is why he's going to push for the move.

I agree Donnaruma would be a good choice to come in but don't see it happening.

If De Gea goes will need to go all out on Donnamruma, don't think I seen as a talented kid for a goalkeeper in my life, even the likes of Buffon, Casillas and De Gea who were pretty good at a young age didn't have his quality at the ages of 17/ 18.

Utd Road. I know what you mean but from what I read at the time (could be pure conjecture) but that made DDG doubt how much he was really wanted at the time by Madrid. He's a hero here and always will be. his successive player of the season awards speak volumes. I may be an optimist but I don't think EVERY Spaniard would leave England (especially us) for the big two. I think Herrera will become a club legend too and turn down one or both in the next couple of years when the Barcelona lads retire.

Shane88. I agree most Spaniards including DDG would leave for a chance to play for the bog 2 in La Liga. Only the fax machine prevented the deal last time

Romeo has played well in the cup matches this year but is not in the same class as DDG
Donnamruma will be difficult to sign. He is a lifelong Milan fan and now playing for them
His idol is Buffon who has spent his entire career in Italy
Historically the Italian national team has always had a preference to picking players who play in their national league

Basically, he is a fan of the club he is playing for, playing in his home country and living in the trendiest part of Italy

Would you give that up to come to rainy Manchester with potential home sickness and language issues

I think we need to prioritise the scouting for a new keeper but unfortunately i don't think that can be Donnamruma.
