Rumours that the three options for CB Lindelof, Keane or Van Djilk. Who do you guys feel would better suite.
For me it would be Van Djilk as I think he is a leader and would be great alongside Bailly. I Like Keane but worry it would be too soon, not seen any of Lindelof to judge.

haven't seen lidlof either except on youtube since we have been linked with him. Vdijk looks good, fast, big and strong and seems to get his head on everything both ends of the pitch -out of those 3 he would be first choice. silly money of course.

VVD is not worth the price, keane is not good enough to start for us, lindelof isn't much better but he has a high ceiling, would love a double swoop for semedo and lindelof.

VVD out of the 3. He's one of the top 3 centre backs in the PL.

{Ed004's Note - It would be between Lindelof and Van Dijk for me. I'm edging towards Van Dijk because of his power in the air, physical attributes and being premiership proven. I think he could form a perfect partnership with Bailly. It would be nice to be a threat from set pieces again}

None of the above.

I think comes down to value for money. Keane should stay at Burnley for at another 18 months. He certainly has potential. Perhaps cut a deal with Burnley to buy him and then loan him back.
Lindelof is an unknown, just Like Bailly. I've see Youtube clips etc.
VVD looks very good and would compliment Bailly. He is as ED004 says prem proven. Keane isn't quite there yet. However if he plays well in the next two England games then his price will rise.

Couldnt agree more ED004, over recent years we seem to have lost the threat of our CBs coming forward for corners ala Vidic, pally, bruce, rio, stam etc etc, fair play to smalling last night for his assist but we used to be a real threat in days gone by with our cbs.

{Ed004's Note - Maybe that's why by reports we seem to be looking at Dier ahead of Fabinho and the links with Van Dijk and Keane. Two of them along with Pogba and Bailly would give us good height}

I would love Van Dijk but we may have competition for him, same goes for Fabinho. I don't see Tottenham selling any of their key players this summer, just my opinion.

Leahy12,

When Spurs signed for £7million I thought why the hell didn't we try and buy him. He'd cost £50 million now. Bargain buy for Spurs. Top class CB.

Thing is with Spurs, they brought in players like Alder, Alli, Wanyama for little money - but they play them every week. We sign players for 3X-5X that and keep them on the bench or play them sporadically.

We'd pay £25m for Keane and use him in rotation. We need nailed down 100% starters for the money we are going to undoubtedly spend, otherwise it's a Depay/ Martial/ Schneiderlin type waste.

Godin for me.

If this is the CB's that we are looking to strengthen with then I am slightly disappointed. Personally, I would have liked to have seen a world class CB come in, someone like Bonucci. I know VVD is being touted as the next big thing, I don't know anything about the Swedish guy, Keane, I am not convinced is good enough either. I was hoping that if there is a deal for DDG to go to Madrid, that they would have had some clout to be able to try and sort out a deal for someone like Varane.

Agree with Beast here, a consistent line up breeds success.

If Jose is the master at one thing it's picking out defenders. Whoever we buy will fit in well. Perhaps Rojo has convinced him and Blind has looked very able there
too? We need one more to replace Smalling.

Keane or VVD for me please Jose. It's the full back positions where we need the serious investment and another midfielder to replace Carrick. I'll be well chuffed with Greizeman though!

If Keane re-joins, we just need to go back for Welbeck now to show just how clueless LVG was!

I'll keep my answer simple enough.

Has to be Van Dijk, he's the best of the three.

Agree Harry, before his injury he was the best CB in the prem. Would be a decent partner for Bailly for the next 7-8 years.
