Hi Ed002

With Carrick signing the new 1 year deal, does this mean there was no replacement found/ available as you previously spoke about? Did MU bid for Savic even though he signed the new deal and does this also mean Fabianho is a non starter also?

{Ed002's Note - You can put aside thoughts of Savic. Regardless of a new contract MU will continue to look for a new MF player but it is getting tougher with Fabinho but don't rule out a move for Kroos just yet.}

Personally, I'd prefer Matuidi who seems much better value for money and already has a relationship with Pogba on the pitch - though Juventus seem to be doing their usual shrewd business by showing interest in him/ quality older players who seem unhappy or are nearing the end of their contract.

Ed, on Kroos, I know it has been this way for a while but I'm very surprised that Real would be open to letting him go. I've seen you say he's been offered/ spoken about in deals involving other players but I don't think there is another player in Europe as good as him in the holding playmaker role so it's very surprising they'd be willing to let him go.

I'd be over the moon if we signed him. Ideally he would be deployed in a midfield 3 rather than 2 holding with a 10 ahead.

Modric is the best midfielder out there in that Deep lying playmaker position, but he won't be sold at any price. Real also have asensjo (spelling) so I can see them willing roc let Kronos go. There's Veratti also who is very similar to Kroos. I would take A modric above all of them. Then I'd take Kroos just because you can imagine him fitting in very well with this ram alongside pogb and Herrera!
