Hi all, thanks to the Eds as always.
Ed can you confirm whether there is interest in Verrati please? Also, is Matic still viable or is he looking more Juventus bound. Thanks again,

{Ed002's Note - Inter and Chelsea are still interested in Marco Verratti but both have been told, as has Barcelona who enquired after the player, that he is not for sale. Whilst the interest of Bayern Munich and Juventus has waned, they would like look again if the player was on the market.}

Verratti has previously stated that he has no interest in moving to England but when it looked like he could well be leaving PSG he has said it is an option he would have to consider - although it would not be his first choice. He has made no secret that he would be attracted by a move to Juventus and has also said that he would like to work again with Carlo Ancelotti, who isa now at Bayern Munich. He was offered to Juventus as part of an exchange for Pogba last summer but Juventus wanted to try and avoid going down that route. Juventus moved to buy Miralem Pjanic as a replacement for Paul Pogba - and that has likely removed them as an option for Verratti unless he is sold. There were a couple of discussions with Chelsea over Verratti's future last year - but Chelsea became nervous over the player not being keen on a move to England and stepped back. If that changes their interest remains. Barcelona's previous interest has likely gone with their wage issue - and unless they make a major sale they will deal with other priorities first but could subsequently return for him. Right now, I think the most likely scenario is that he may be available in the summer (at a very, very expensive fee). Neither Real Madrid nor Manchester United have not made any approach to PSG for him at this time.

Matic is available and i in England and allowed to speak with other clubs, Right now there are on-going discussions with Juventus but they are far apart on any agreement still.}

Hope we do make further signings: would love Perisic, Matic and Fabhino, but realistically might just get one.

He'd be the dream signing, but everything I've seen says that he wants Barcelona and only Barca. And the only reason he hasn't signed for them already is the superwealthy owner of PSG simply refuses to sell him. Even if we could change Veratti's mind and convince him to choose United over Barca, we'd still be in the same boat that the Spanish found themselves. Wanting a player controlled by an owner with no desire, or need, to sell.

Again, this would be the dream. But it's not realistic at the moment IMO.

Do you guys think veratti would choose Chelsea over us with conte being Italian? In a hypothetical situation.
