Tottenham looking to start negotiations with us for martial.

Hope we put up as much of a fight as levy does when clubs go in for his players. I somehow doubt we will and hell end up going for a bargain price and well regret selling him for sure.

How the conversation should go.
Levy - is martial for sale?
Woody - no
Levy - maybe Toby in a straight swap.

Woody - kiss my hairy meatballs. Its either 40m for Toby or its Shaw and 15m.

Levy - what about 50m for martial

Woody - are you talking about his wages or a transfer fee? In this market he is worth 70m easy and we don't want to sell so that's 110m for martial

Levy - We won't pay more than 50m for a player.

Woody - not my problem, 50m and Eriksen and we might talk. I'm busy conducting real business so no fannying around. You got till Monday, after that you're on call divert to my fax machine.

Depends on if A) the player wants to go and B) if the club want to sell.

The club I imagine would prefer to sell abroad and the player would prefer a move to say juventus.

He won’t be going to Spurs - although personally think it’s a good move for him.

I may be wrong but seem to recall the Martial deal had milestone payments, one of which when he scored a certain number of goals we would have to pay a lump sum. I seem to recall reading he was one goal short of that milestone towards the end of the season. It may not impact contractually because if we sell I imagine there are other clauses to make up for it but there may still be a financial benefit to selling him before he scores it.

Overall Martial is too phlegmatic which spoils his talent, I don’t see where he would fit in the team at Spurs.
