Would anyone take a punt on Andre Gomes? he's been steady for everton, could do a lot worse than him as a squad player and at the quoted figures, i think itd be a good signing.

Was about to say this, at 25 year old and with Barcelona wanting around 25-30mil could be a low risk gamble.

For me better than McTomminay and Pereira for starters and as Herrera has gone, could be a win win.

I would redwhiskey. Think he’s a very good player, glides when he’s on the ball and has lovely technique. I do think he could be a bit more mobile though. For the £25m-30m price I would take a punt for sure. Don’t have enough midfielders with quality on the ball.

If we can get Rabiot on a than this is an upgrade on Ander leaving. Personally I’d take Strootman on loan too if his fitness worries are behind him.

Gomes is totally the wrong type of player we need to supplement the mids. In fact, not sure what he brings. He was average in a very average Everton side. Speaks volumes West Ham and Everton are after him, and Barcelona want rid. This is not the type of player we should be looking at.

A good player, but we need a few great ones. If we had world class players and needed good cover then he might have been a good option. But then he wants to leave Barcelona as he doesn't want to be a back up player. So its a no from me.
