So apparently we are in talks with sporting for fernandes and saul is available for €100 million I think ed002 said on the European rumours page.
Simple solution is to stump up the cash for both and sell pogba to Madrid, which should go close to cancelling out the fee paid for saul.
If we want to be greedy then look at another CB and that would be a good window. Give ole till the end of the season to see what he can do with a good spine in the team.

Can't disagree that this would be an almost ideal situation, however, I have no faith that it'll happen.

Fernandes is looking increasingly likely if reports are to be believed though. He's a very good player who'd bring a lot to the team. One thing that's not talked about too often that he would bring is set piece quality. Other than Rashford's 40 harder against Chelsea, I think the last free kick we scored was Mata Vs Juve? Might be wrong on that? We also have atrocious corner takers so if Bruno does arrive we can at least rely on him for that.

A midfield of fernandes, saul and mctominay would be quite good.

Let’s park Saul until summer, but McT, Pogba, Bruno F in a midfield looks dangerous to me supported by Fred and some younger lads ok (Garner, Fosu-Mensah and assuming Matic leaves) .

Front 3 of Rashford, Martial, James/ Greenwood (or a new signing such as Sancho) looks good.

Defence needs looking at in summer but let’s see how Bailly goes with Maguire/ Lindelof. New left back is key too as I’ve never dated Shaw.

All we need then is a new coach, board and owners and we are on our way 😂😂😂.

Couldn't afford a date with Shaw unless it was an all you can eat buffet.
