Hi Ed, is there any truth in United being linked to James Rodriguez?
Further more, could he be a good fit?
Would signing James mean United would not go for Grealish?

Thanks!

{Ed002's Note - James Rodriguez (AM) - a high end Columbian is wanted in Miami with JR the preferred choice but JR will want more time in Europe with Juventus and Manchester United the preference. Juventus were open to replacing Dybala and have lost out on Eriksen and expect their first choice AM player to complete a move elsewhere, so James Rodriguez might well be an option but right now the situation with Dybala has been resolved. Manchester United still want an AM who can cover the left James and offer something different to Bruno Fernandes - and JM will talk with them. The preference is Grealish but JR is a far cheaper option. Wolves have "strong ties" with JM but a move there remains very unlikely.

Thanks Ed!

Is there any deal that United is close to finish?

{Ed002's Note - I cannot sensibly answer "close" questions.}

I personally hope we get Grealish. He looks to be ready to take a step up whilst James has been at top clubs already and it doesn't seem to have worked out so you'd have to question his desire.

Close in terms of details being agreed with at least one side (club or the player) :)
Its kinda frustrating that we always prolong the deals we make.

Dark Knight, I would agree about James, but I didn't really look at Grealish, and I certainly wouldn't like United to pay 60-70 mil, just because he is English nationality player.

I´m from ColOmbia (not ColUmbia), but first of all I´m a MU fan.
Right now I would not like JR with the MU shirt, to me is clear that he has an attitude problem; I believe he would end at Newcastle or Everton and may recover his form, but he is not used to English football, and may struggled as most of other colombian players have struggled in the past.
It would be a major improvement of players like Fred (That I hate) or Pereira but I don’t think it is what MU need.

I agree its a lot of money but the way i look at it is we get a very good squad player who will be fighting for a first team place so he would have to up his game which could make him into a top player. He'd be a good player to bring in if Rashford, Martial or Greenwood have a dip in form. i'd rather bring him in than Lingard, Perrera or Daniel James tbh.

I could agree on that, he is better than mentioned players for sure, but I hate seeing how English players are overpriced, just because of nationality. Maguire wasnt worth 80 mil, and i don't think Grealish is worth 70, which is what Villa wants for the player.
