The glorious thing about being a United supporter is that no matter what decade you watched the team you have been treated to seeing some of the greatest players ever to grace a football field. You witness some pieces of sublime skill that leave you feeling breathless. This season we have once again been touched by a player who appears to be on a higher level than any one else out there. RVP shows a touch which is un rivaled in this country. The weight he puts on a pass is a thing of beauty. The vision and touch is second to none and the work ethic is admirable. It is only when you see him live that you appreciate his movement off the ball and the amount of running he does. He is one of those players who you younger ones will tell your grand children about and get a little misty eyed. Don't worry I'm not fooled into believing he loves us or he is doing it for the shirt I know he is here for the cash and the medals but he has given every one of us our pride back after last season and those noisy neighbours look over the garden fence and how they wish they had RVP. I AM KLOOT

But Rooney wanting more cash was a morale outrage for you? But you will overlook RVP's monetary motivations as one of the factors for joining us. Hypocrite.

Agree, one of my fondest terms and I've used it before is "a thing of beauty". I apply it to Scholes too even when his legs are gone, the game glides when such players are on the ball.

Kloot - you write a really nice and accurate piece about one of our great players; and then ruin it with your obsession with money and what other people earn /do (. "Don't worry I'm not fooled. ").
Get help Klooty, don't let the bitterness drag you down.

'shows a touch which is unrivalled in this country'? You're not just a little bias are you RainbowFishTrambone?Mata and Silva would be the first two that spring to mind, although of course only one would need to be put forward in order to rival him.

Get a grip man, he is the best striker in the prem at the minute, but put the bloke infront of 70,000 screaming Spaniards and watch him disappear.
