Interesting that on the Scouser's and Gooner's pages, they are all banging on about Strootman, although not sure about the Scouser who wants to play him on the left wing. Seems he's a popular option

When his manager Advocat said Strootman could be as good as Gareth Barry it was a real warning for me but I haven't seen him so remain open minded, as long as he is better than Barry.

He's better than Barry. Reads the game well, gets stuck in, drives forward, decent passer and has a good shot on him too. Only 22 I think?

He's 23 apparently, I know, picking up on small details.

I rate him very highly, he has many qualities, as said above, that I genuinely believe are thing's our midfield is looking for.

No surprise that a few clubs are looking at him, if we go in for him though you'd think there'd be a good chance we'd get him.
