And so it begins the little stories in the press about Moyes wanting Rooney to stay. Gill predicting he will see Rooney at OT next season. This is just the way Stretford wants it to play out. The next thing will be the new contract and Rooney saying he never wanted to leave and he would like to stay at OT for the rest of his career. Remember Sir Alex came out and said Rooney had asked to leave the club. Surely there isn't one of you out there stupid enough to fall for this again. Who does he think he is. Does he not think we can do without him. How will he turn up after this summer break how overweight will he be. Moyes would have won everyones support if he had walked in and said that he doesn't want anyone who doesn't want to play for the shirt. Tevez must be looking over and thinking I was lucky to get away with my golf trip but this is just taking the p155.

Totally agree Kloot. Making a joke of our club.

If he stays it will go against everything the clubs stands for. Think of all the players that were forced to leave because they went against fergies wishes. I don't even care if he goes to another British team. let's just rid and get players in who would love to play for our great club.

I don't know if you bother to read what your fellow posters actually post on here, but I think the majority of us "aren't stupid enough to fall for this again"

Myself I want him sold, I think he's holding back the development of the team and I will be disappointed come 1st September if he's still here.

I think many on here would agree.

Some will disagree, that's their opinion.

But don't come on here basically calling us all thick, when this whole argument has been raging for 2-3 weeks with most of us wanting him gone for various reasons.

Now if the management is that daft that's a different issue.

The fact that he has asked for a transfer really makes the decision quite simple. I don't believe the club for one minute will allow him to make a mockery out of us and David Gill's statement is nothing but a negotiating thing and to make a point to the player and potential suitors. I would be grossly disappointed if he is still here come September and truly believe he will be worse next year than this year.

For those of you who want to believe he is innocent, with all the press reports, he can come out and deny it but he is staying silent on the issue, which in my mind confirms what SAF said.

Kloot if he stay, will you go with so much negativity all season?

Can't see this feeling helping us create good environment for the new challenge under Moyes. Some people can be easy to turn into your very very sad way of thinking.

C'Mon go out and relax

You come up with the same rant every few days! All signs point to him leaving. If he signs a new contract, then you can moan all you want. Right now, he is set to be sold.

Yeah, let's sell him to Chelsea and watch them win the league at a trot next year! I can't believe what I'm reading, we have rvp and Rooney as our strikers, that's when he's not being played, in the hole, on the left, on the right, in midfield, so why not wait to see what Moyes does and I'm sure if he plays him in his proper position, then we'll have a fantastic player.
If we sell him, who don't suggest we buy to replace him?
