If Moyes was given a kitty of £35m plus any money generated from sales, what would people think of the following if we presume he will use a 4231 formation?

Outs - Lindegaard £4m, Evra £6m, Young £10m, Anderson £10m, Nani £15m, Rooney £30m, Macheda £2m, Bebe £1m
Total £78m

Ins - Shaw £8m, Garay £15m, Strootman £15m, Alcantara£15m, Ronaldo £60m Total £113m

Outlay after sales would therefore be £35m which is less than we have spent in recent summers.

In a 4231 I think our 1st eleven would be -
DeGea. Rafael. Garay. Vidic. Shaw. Strootman. Carrick Alcantara. Kagawa. Ronaldo.
RVP

I'd love Kagawa in the number 10 role and I think Ronaldo would prefer to be out on the left cutting in. Obviously all four up top would be able to move around continually with Ronaldo up top, Kagawa on the left, Alcantara in the number 10 and RVP on the right at times etc. Then we have Zaha, Valencia, Welbeck, Giggs, Hernandez, Henriquez to interchange in the lesser games and cups and if injuries occur. Next summer we could then get another CM as Carrick isn't getting any younger and maybe another striker depending on Keane/Henriquez.

Before people come on having a go, I know this is very very very very very very very unlikely, but, if the above happened would people be happy?

And who would provide width

Bren, that does look like a very good lineup.
But unfortunately I don't see us going for Shaw and Ronaldo, though Garay and Strootman look likely.

Alcantara would also be a good signing. But where does that leave Anderson and Clevs?

We are playing a 4231 so wingers aren't needed, if we need to change it we have Giggs, Ronaldo, Zaha, Valencia, Welbeck who could all do that job.

And cleverley will interchange with the midfield depending on the game and The Colonel aka Anderson would leave for £10m as I said.

I hope Moyes gives Anderson a chance, I'm intrigued to see how a Super fit Anderson will play. We all know he is capable of being a cracking player if he can avoid injury.
