I have finally been compelled to post, after months of listening to certain people whinging.
Nomidfield should change his tag to Mr Doom and Gloom, bloody hell I bet your a bundle of laughs. We are the Champions and you still just come up with pessimistic posts. I wonder if you are a scouser in disguise.
You can't of been a supporter in the 70s and 80s, you would of killed yourself.
We have been spoilt over the last few years and it has bred a spoilt type of fan, nothing is good enough, and this why we are unpopular. Fans of clubs struggling down the league get more enjoyment than many on here and we are extremely successful.
So chill a bit and try and enjoy it.

Top post, and remember everyone we need to get behind our new manager. Were off to a great start so far, and hopefully it will continue tonight.

Good post, mate.

I've been away on holiday for the last two weeks, and only occasionally caught up on some of the posts.

Have to say, I worry about some on here and their near hysteria over a flippin' transfer window - they seem to think that football, and particularly Utd, is the most important thing in their lives.

They need to get out more, and spend some time with their families and friends - you know, the really important things.

Utd will survive, believe it or not people, just as they always have, and they've faced much worse than one, up til now, barren transfer window.

Sometimes, and I know it's heresy nowadays to even think that Utd don't have a God-given right to win everything, but I think a few barren years might even help us shed some of the more fickle fans.

Especially those who are leaving their season tickets unused this year, and those who think we'll go from champions last year, to outside the top 4 this season, just because we might not buy anyone this window.

You know who you are.

Lol, good post mate., I have a great bottle of wine being chilled and going to enjoy the game tonight. Got my kids all our new gear in London a couple of days ago and they are more optimistic than most guys here, although our transfer dealings this summer has been nothing short of puzzling and weird to say the least.

Thanks kbj. I have supported united since 68 and been a supporter since then. So I can assure you that I'm not a scouser in disguise! I was there when we won the European cup in 68. I was at Wembley when Lou macari fired us to our fa cup win against Liverpool. I was at Wembley when we lost 3-2 against arsenal. I also lived thru the 70"s and 80"s when the scousers were winning everything. So I've been there and seen it my friend.
Sorry that I don't share your sense of wild optimism. But if you think just because we won the league last year that we should all just turn up to win it again, then you are sadly mistaken.
Anyway, I'm sorry if u feel my posts are negative and upsetting. So it is better for me to shut up and stop posting and let u guys get on with it.
On a personal note, as u asked, I AM a bundle of laughs as my family and friends will agree, I'm also extremely happy!
Anyway, Good luck to united for tonight, I enjoyed this site but I don't need to take any insults from anyone.
