I haven't replied sooner, just on my way back. It's a shame you have taken offence, this is a banter site after all and even though AJH has called me an eejit, I can take it, I won't start sulking, I have very broad shoulders.
I wasn't there in 68 (too young) but I was at the cup final in 77, 79, 83, 85, 90 to name a few. I have spent thousands of pounds and hours following United around England and Europe and if you've been a supporter through all those years then fair play but therefore you should know better.
I can assure you I am not a wild optimist but I am a supporter and I love United. The clue to my point is in the word SUPPORTER not criticiser.
So Chin up and try and enjoy the best club in the world we are all United.
