I wrote a post at HT, but it seems to have disappeared. I think other than Rio and DDG at the end it was a solid performance from the lads tonight. I thought Rooney was good, Smalling was a rock and Kagawa's touch was sublime at times. Valencia for me had his best game in a very long time. Fellaini so good so far. He was sharp, didn't dwell on the ball and put in some good interceptions. If we can eradicate some silly mistakes like Rio/DDG at the end there, then we will be a difficult side to break down. I think this is the side that will line up against City on Sunday. Overall a good night for us, could have had a couple more. Great start for Moyes. If we can get three points at City or a draw at worst, then we are in very good shape.

Just got back from the game syd good 3 points but the 1st half was painful to watch our movement and build up play was so so slow.rooney played well and really pleased for tony v who showed something like his old form tonight.kagawa looked lost at times I don't think that slow style suits his game

Was great to see a good display tonight. Yeah there was a few hiccups but these were easily outweighed by the positives.

I would start with the same line up for city except for Kagawa. He wasn't great tonight, maybe needs more match time but really stuck like a sore thumb tonight.

I agree a draw would be a good result. They have company back which is massive for them and looking at the highlights looks like Aguero is back on form and healthy.
