Huge relief didn't get thrashed: team played magnificently - thought Vidic and Jones were superb - and we might get another day to remember next week.

But Fellaini must not play. He was the weak link last night, looked completely out of his depth: pedestrian in midfield, lost the ball too much, no evidence of any skill and at fault for Sweinsteiger's goal as didn't track him bCk, just jogged back casually. What a waste of money - image who we could buy with the 27.5m. He more a beach donkey than a pedigree performer.

But what should moyes do with him? Who would want him now he's proved he can't cut it at the top level? Would Eveton want him back? Maybe just take a big loss on him. What a terrible buy.

Get Fletcher in next week instead.

Fingers crossed for next week - just so relieved that we're still in with a chance. Hope team spirit continues into so we can at least make Europa league.

I don't think Moyes' will get rid of him yet; but he needs to be replaced with someone else in the summer - who can come in and replace him as a first team regular.

I completely dissagree with that.
I thought that Fellaini worked his ar*e off last night.
Carrick on the other hand sat right in front on Vidic and Ferdinand and barely moved.
I barely remember him making a tackle, I remember one pass of any note and I certainly don't remember him closing players down as they were baring down on our area.
Fellaini isn't my favorite player by any means but people on here should give the guy a bit of credit.
Micheal Carrick has done absolutely nothing of any note all season and has quietly passed under the radar without any critisism.

Had it not been Moyes himself who bought him for such a high fee, I think we would be able to take a loss on him this summer. But I don't think Moyes is in a position to admit he made a mistake with him - if he did, I doubt the Glazers would be too happy letting him spend more of their money.
