Sly Sports News said Juventus said Vidal not going anywhere and he does not want to leave.

Looking like we are in for another late window rush, a while to go but not as optimistic as I had hoped!

This is what the Juventus manager has just said, what else do you expect him to say?

OHx

Not sure why you're surprised man.

Summer 2013 - Woodward's man-baby, creepy little head plastered all over the media, telling us fans how wealthy we are and how world-class talent wants to join.

Woody disappears, "Moyes wants to evaluate the squad", we sign Fellaini for an inflated fee on deadline day.

"LVG wants to bide his time and evaluate the players over the next few weeks".

Woody seems to be laying low.

I expect Vermaelen and possibly Daley Blind for an inflated fee in the final days of the window.

GDS2 -

How about nothing?

I can't see a deal happening now.

Our manager said he wouldn't sell real madrid a virus so i'm not worried in the slightest, football managers are all liars in one way or another.

Do u believe sniederlin and Rodriguez are staying?

6.) 29 Jul 2014
Yeah but it took another year for the virus to be sold! We need our Virus now.

I hate the lies and hidden meanings behind everything. there is just no ethics left in the game anymore now money has taken over. Can't believe a thing we read or even see with our own eyes thanks to photo shop.

What do u expect manager of juve to say that Vidal is leaving us before the deal being completed that will make a lot of juve fans angry .

I am assuming they are trying to secure his replacement first and make it sound like Vifal pushed for the deal and juve had no choice but to let an unhappy player leave.

Now I am not saying its us that he may move to but if he is moving this is probably the best way to deal with the situatuon by keeping fans happy and not putting any pressure on their new manager or the club.

If he was to stay there wouldn't have been any negotiations or the manager simply didn't need to speak to the media every other day to assure fans that their main asset isn't leaving.

RED_SKY I know where your coming from, just hoped I guess that Woody had seen the light from last year.

I have faith in the team, others have brought in players, but I'm still convinced with LVG and a couple of real quality players we would be back to our best. Just feel behind the scene enough is not being done for the playing side, not nearly as much as the commercial and with our history it saddens me deeply.

I will always be optimistic, win or loose but I just wish the suits wouldn't the team back where it belongs

Anyway, hope we have another good outing against Inter :) I'm getting to the stage that I'm not looking at transfer rumours, except on this site. I feel is only genuine source of info we can rely on nowadays M8

Watching LVG's press conference when oh spoke about the Broken Team, and ZAHA needs to be an attacker to stay. I am not sure what targets he would bring in now, bit confused. Is out and out LWB and an out and out RWB.
Any ideas would be appreciated on possibilities and formation etc :)

Thanks in Advance

Has anyone entertained the notion that the manager might not have wanted Vidal?

10.) 29 Jul 2014
In fairness, Fergie said he wouldn't sell them a virus, and he didn't. He decided to sell them the world player of the year instead. Pretty big white lie granted, but not a lie.

11.) 29 Jul 2014
R7, so after what the editor has said today you think it won't happen? Based on what? What the manager said? The manager who has zero say in what happens to his players.

12.) 29 Jul 2014
Sam, you mean the manager doesn't want Vidal, but we are trying to sign him anyway? I'm confused.

13.) 29 Jul 2014
Syd - I've searched across the pages and can see no mention of any news on Vidal from any of the editors. Am I missing something?

If there was still a chance of Vidal leaving Juventus I would have expected the manager to stick with the 'we plan on keeping him if the player wants to stay' spiel we got from th GM yesterday. By suggesting that Vidal has said that he's staying he's opened the club up to criticism from the fans if Vidal were to leave (ie they can't say that he forced the move having told them he wants to stay today).

14.) 29 Jul 2014
Ed said there will be a decision made by this Saturday, by that time we will know one way or the other.

My view is that lots of posters on this site immediately believe any negative story while shooting down the positive ones. I'm not saying we will get Vidal but it's clear interest is there and we are about to bid/have bid. As Ed002 said earlier there will be a decision by the weekend.

A manager coming out and saying his best player is going nowhere is what the fans want to hear and if he leaves the club can say that his head was turned or it was his decision and the club honoured this. Look at us with Ronaldo, Tottenham with Bale, Suarez with Liverpool, pretty much up until they were sold each player's club were stating he is there player and it will remain that way.

I don't think he's suggested any such thing. I would be amazed if Vidal has told Allegri that he wants to stay.

Copy and pasted for you my friend:

{Ed002's Note - The offer is in the hands of a third party, and my understanding is that it is not the only offer for the player. Once the player makes it clear he wishes to leave, and the financial implications of that have already been made clear to his representatives, then I would expect his future to be resolved by Saturday.}

002, found it, can I ask if the other offer is a worry for MU? In your opinion? Thanks as always.

Sydney!

{Ed002's Note - It will be a worry but I suspect that Manchester United can sort something out by the weekend - there does remain that other dependency I explained.}
