I don't know about you but for me international football, including the World Cup, has little other purpose beyond being a distraction during the off season. It's got it's pluses but the action is at the club level. Maybe it's different in countries where they have tremendous histories in the international arena, but as Englishmen we've been spared that. The passion lives in the year on year tribal rivalries with teams like City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool. Love of football is inextricably linked to MUFC. Thank goodness I don't have to choose between them and the wife. So, tomorrow morning at 7.45 here in Atlanta, GA I'll be getting stuck into my bigamous relationship with United and the Mrs won't bat an eye!

I will be getting up at 5:45 here in Costa Rica. Hopefully I will get to watch the entire game before the wife wakes up.

Bloody Hell,

didnt realise peashooter was from Atlanta and flint from Costa Rica!

I've been to both, Atlanta for a few days but Costa Rica for 4 weeks during a backpacking stint! Peashooter, I love the States so please don't perceive this as me ignoring you but flint:

PURA VIDA, MAI!

Great country, great people, great parties!

Let's hope we can get some Pura Vida luuuv this season, the international team proved that team spirit, determination and drive can take a team far!
