Somewhere between the two stories, that's where you'll find the truth.

Roy Keane was a great player for us and a great leader on the pitch. He help get that extra 10% from players that so often pushed us over the line.

Himself a few times he crossed that line, intentionally going out to injury a fellow player is never exceptable.

But who he is off the pitch well that will depend on who you are to him as much as who he is to you.

Remember everything he puts into his book he does purely to sell more copies. And it is only one half of the story and no doubt written to cast the best possible light on the protagonist.

Roy Keane was a great player, he is a poor manager, and his character is questionalbe to say the lest.

Lets remember him for what he's done and take his current actions and utterancies with the pinch of salt they so deserve.

Funny how when he left, Keano's midlife crisis started so to did our midfield crisis lol. A lot on here seem to take offence to what he says and it is unfortunate that he and the godfather fell out but don't see how any of this can taint his reputation amongst our support. We all loved the fire in his belly when he played and if he upset people in his prime we all backed him to the hilt. Am sure if we could have a 25yr old version back now, warts and all, everyone would have him back in a heartbeat. It's not that they don't make them like Keano anymore, they never made like that before him either. A complete one off. Ronny was the best footballer Fergie had but keane was his greatest player. Don't let a book cloud that fact.
