Sorry eds for being nosey but something that I've been meaning to ask, is this site your job or something you do as a hobby cheers

Edds, if it isn't a full time job for you then how did you get the job in the first place, did you have to have a formal interview, how would you be able to get into this type of work from a pedestrian's point of view?

{Ed001's Note - well for me, I started the original site along with Ed033, and for the first 8 years or so I used to work full time and do the sites when I finished work. Then for a few years I was able to drop down to part time and recently made this my only job. The others came on board at varying times after offering their help at times we needed more people. There was no formal interview as stuff, they were just people who had spent a lot of time on the sites and I had been able to get to know them and trust them.}

I guess you've already considered making this site subscription only?

On one hand, you'd weed out the undesirables, have more money to invest in additional features (and Ed002 might come back if she feels all the vegetables are gone!)

On the other hand, having to pay would decrease the amount of traffic, disenfranchise those supporters who want a voice but are muted because of cost and I guess undermine the main reason you set it up in the first place.

I guess we're just lucky we have this site, so thanks for all your/other Eds efforts! To be honest, I'm surprised you don't have more adverts on here considering the traffic (plus other huge fan bases on other pages: Liverpool, Arsenal, Rangers, Newcastle etc)

Ed 001, your a legend mate, I think I speak for us all when I say, thank you, couldn't of happened to a better person, a true gentleman in more ways than one, to imagine a life with out this site cuts deep, you will forever be in my soul, if there is any advice I could give to you it would be this, take care of those who treat you how you treat them forever, good luck and thanks again.
