Just read a decent thread on the banter page about people liking to see other prem clubs do well in the champions league and I have to say I am one of them. The games against Arsenal a few years back were some of my favourite champions league games and the final with Chelsea was both nerve wrecking yet mouthwatering and just added that extra bit to it. I do like playing Real and Bayern ect but to get City in a later round would be electric. (I would prefer an easy run haha but you got to beat the best as they say).

Whether we want other clubs to be successful or not I think the reality is we need all of them to do reasonably well to ensure that our co-efficient remains high enough to keep our 4 places.

I don't care either way about other clubs. I'm born British but I don't associate my love for Utd with anything else, this includes not giving a rats arse which league is the best.

i heard someone put it nicely on the FW pod yesterday: the prem doesn't generate great players it generates stars. its a soap opera and I'm absolutely fine with that.
