Madrid will do a Barcelona and appeal, that took 9 months for a final decision at CAS, expect Madrid to go ballistic on transfers this summer, i expect de Gea and Hazard will be amongst the ones to move.

eric i don't think perez will try that right now, so soon after the rafa debacle, he is as popular with the madrid fans right now as lvg seems to be with most utd fans, so selling a fan favorite and not only a fan favorite but rather a well performing fan favorite for an ex athletic guy, i don't think he will want to do that right now, especially with bigger issues like a ronaldo replacement to deal with.

You may be right but I doubt that will stop him. As stoat mentioned, they may well appeal and go mental in summer. However, it's a risky gamble as their appeal may fail leaving them with 20 days to conclude their business. Either way, their bargaining powers will be severely finished whether it's now or in summer so we will get a premium fee if we sell DDG. We could even play hard ball and refuse to sell to them leaving them without new players at all and an ageing squad.

Yes they could bid in January but I personally don't think they will get him this month.
It's all in Uniteds hands so it's going to take a massive bid OR some sort of player swap deal.

Barcelona's ban was initally announced toward the end of April around the 27th I think. Thus the time it would take to appeal it ment it was never going to be sorted before the opening of the summer window.

The point in announcing the Madrid clubs bans is to stop that happening again. Thus if they appeal the appeal can be heard and sorted out before the opening of the summer window.

If I was a conspiracy theorist I would suggest Madrid are being screwed here. They were found guilty months ago, but waiting to find out their fate until two weeks into the January window giving them little time to get deals done now, and that any appeal would be out of the way before the summet window alnost feels like its been planned to screw them up as much as possible.
