Pep has said in the past he would like to manage United, he has said I'm am going to England and when I decide what club I will manage I will let everyone know,
Why is he favourite to join city cause he has links there, reports say United met with him last week but he and United denied this,
It's more likely now lvg will leave in the summer.

There's two ways of looking at the comments from united today and it all depends if your glass is half full or half empty!

1. They denied it because they know he is city bound and don't want to look foolish, the club wouldn't usually comment on a rumour of this type.

2. Two they denied it because of other factors such as the team, the fact we have a manager and perhaps the deal isn't finalised etc.

All depends which you believe personally I'm quite an optimistic person, I just hope it's not all in vain haha.

As the meeting happened in Paris and Martial is French and I presume has contacts there. Could this be what Martial referred to as a "surprise" after the Liverpool match?

Martial comments imo wasn't about giving away a jersey, I'm more of the opinion we will be singing Cavaini before this window closes, if we are trying for Europe next year we need a CB and a striker in this window.

Martial is an 18year old in his first year at UTD. There is no way in hell that he was tweeting about a signing, especially how man utd have gone about their transfer business of late. Not many people know what we are doing with regards to signing, you can be guaranteed martial knows sweet f**k all about them too. Lads get over it, he was giving off a jersey.

There's plenty evidence in the way we are playing, not next or near good enough for one of the top clubs in world football, things need to be turned around fast,
We need a new manager with fresh ideas, one with experience of managing top teams, and now that one of the best is avaible we should be doing everything in our power to get him in.

Ed007. We can only dream and hope. But personally, I think he's going to City. Better team at present, better facilities and he knows a few people there.
But if I was Pep, I'll go to United as it will present him with a bigger and more fulfilling challenge. If he gets it right at United then he will be a legend forever.

{Ed007's Note - Dream and hope? It would be a massive gamble if Utd appointed Guardiola, nobody knows how he'll do when he has to build his own team and make major changes at a club. Both his jobs so far have been quite easy with everything already in place and a quality team on the park.}
