Thanks for the reply Ed01.

According to the Forbes list United are valued above $3bn and if the Glazers sell in a 1 or 1.5 years I don't think the cost would fall more than 200-300 million (correct me if I am wrong) . If we have to challenge we need another 100-150million of investment in the summer at least.

{Ed001's Note - exactly and they are happy to invest, as they showed in the summer.}

Thanks Ed01 that was a reassuring answer.

Hopefully our performances on the pitch also become a bit reassuring :P.

{Ed001's Note - you are welcome mate.}

They say that last year without Europe cost the club £30m+. A long spell without qualification would cost substantially more on an annual basis from here on in. The Glazers have to invest until they can find a formula that works.

I think they spent very modestly in the summer considering we sold adm, chicarito, rvp, nanI, Fletcher, evans and got Falcao off the books.
What we brought in was very little and as I keep saying, the net investment they made is very little considering Woodward was telling us that we had £250m to spend!
It's all a nice pr excersice while they take us all for a ride.

I think the goals will be unattainable very soon. The 'new' top 4 are pulling away and the teams around us are keeping up the pace and in some cases overtaking us.

I still think at some point this season, Giggs will become interim manager and we will see Jose come in in summer if the board can make a decision.
