There's many a slip 'twixt cup and lip, but if Leicester do go on and win the title with Spurs coming in 2nd or 3rd, what does it do to United's perceived value - or indeed that of any of the big 4 or 5? If this year's league signifies a new reality, wherein the revenues guaranteed to each club are sufficiently large to make any a potential Premier League title winner, but reduces the likelihood of a European Champions League slot in general, does it not change an investors view of the likely revenue stream and thus projected return?

I'd imagine any would be invester would just hold off a year before investing into any of the traditional "big" clubs and see if this season is just an anomaly or if there has been a power shift.
I suspect it is just an anomaly thrown up by an over confidence in the status quo, many teams being in a stage of transistion or in need of a transistion and several "smaller" teams being able to bring in genuine top class players.
