LVG reckons we need fast, creative attackers. No shit einstein. How about passing the ball forward and see what the players we have got can do.
I think what he wants is a player or two that could potentially win a game on their own with one flash of magic. Then pass the opposition to death for rest of game.
I don't think Messi, Neymar, Bale etc would get the ball anywhere near as much as they would want/ need in this current set up.
I really think our current squad with 1/ 2 additions should be much higher in league and are capable of much more attractive football with different manager.

Me and jred have been saying the same all season - this team is better than what we are seeing. Minor surgery and a change of Manager and approach will make a significant difference.

A commanding CB alone would make a huge difference.
Would allow blind to move into cdm in a 3 with schneiderlin and Herrera/ Rooney.
Possibly a RW/ LW depending on Martial Position. i'd love a front 3 with pure pace.

A centreback who the midfielders can trust will drive the midfield forward meaning they will have the ball in more promising positions.

I feel our problem is that we have possession too deep in midfield and teams find it easier to defend what's in front of them.

I think our midfield are holding back too much to overcompensate the lack of defensive qualities in our centre backs.

Yes, we do have a good defensive record but I believe that is because our midfield are concentrating more on helping in defence rather than helping in attack. And not because we actually have really good centre backs.

Is this down to the manager concentrating more on making us hard to break down which has a negative influence on our attacking, or the creative midfielders not trusting the players behind them?

Was really excited when we bought Herrera, thought we'd got a top class player, but got to admit I've been disappointed with most of his performances, hopefully if we get a new manager we can see the best of him.
