Regarding the Cantona comments, my question is this:

Would you prefer we scored 100 goals in the season and did a Liverpool, coming in 2nd, or like Leicester, score 68 and win it?

Is that a genuine question?

Don't care. Just win it.

Win it.

What if we played like we did under LVG and won it, happy to stick or still want change cz of the style?

But we played under.

Worth mentioning mourinhos Madrid broke all scoring records in La Liga. This defensive myth is a bit unfair.

They had Ronaldo.

We might soon. Silly season here we go. Can't wait for next season.

Fergie had Ronaldo too but Jose team still scored more when at Chelsea.

*puts flame ressistant jacket on*

2nd with 100 goals.

Seriously though.

We have to face the facts. The league has changed, there are more big teams capable of winning it (assuming Leicester this season was the exception to the rule), and no-one is going to dominate again like we did under SAF in the forseeable future.

Therefore, we simply cannot expect to win every season. But we CAN expect to be entertained, with a reasonable placing at the end of the season, and at least some silverware fairly regularly.

This season was not good enough, but we can't let success be our only measure of a good season.

At the same time, constantly failing to win anything or qualify for the CL is not good enough either, no matter how entertaining the team is.

Welsh Red Devil, you could not realistically win the title with 49 goals, so playing like this last season's LVG side and becoming champions is not hypothetically possible.

We didn't have the Ronaldo that's evolved at RM. Also a lot easier to score goals for RM in the 'SPL with sunshine' :)

Welsh,

Exactly what Shaw said on this, playing how we did this season we had no chance of winning the league. If we play in a way that gives us a chance of winning the league then it will be entertaining anyway, both of them go hand in hand pretty much.
