Personally I'm not that bothered whether we sign pogba or not but I am more concerned with the fact yet another so called superstar has decided (if he does of course) not to sign for United. Why is it the higher caliber of players choose not to come here? As far back as Ronaldinho snubbing us we just cannot seem to attract the top top players. It's not the money and granted we haven't got champs league but that's only been the last couple of seasons here and there. Is it the area? But then they go city and Chelsea, also Munich isn't that different. I find it strange for a club of our stature to struggle with the elite. Now I'm not saying we haven't had elite at our club but we didn't sign them that way. Anybody else find it strange?

The weather is similar in Germany n pretty sure it's the same the other side of Manchester.

Munich is certainly by far more attractive then Manchester as a city.
I'm sure this is a part of it.
I would guess it's mostly lifestyle, including city flair, weather, food, prestige of the area, health care, in some cases educational chances for the kids.
Not saying Manchester is particularly bad in the whole package, but not up there with Madrid, Munich or Barcelona.

We used to have the guarantee of success, unfortunately we lost that trump with the retirement : (

Don't think weather is the main problem. I think it might be because of things out of our control.
Chelsea and Arsenal attract more because of London the city that is considered the financial capital of world.

France, Italy offers romance and great food and intercontinental culture that appeals to players and more importantly to wags. Spain offers hot outdoor lifestyle with a simple happy life and great fashion as with France and Italy and even London.

Manchester and the rest of Northern England have the same problem of having the same bad weather but worse the more north you go. Neglect and lack of investment by government since industrial decline. The North has more natural beauty geographically but in the world of Prada, Gucci, Ferrari's and yachts that's hardly a motivation.

The reason for a player, a true player to cone to Man Utd or Siteh or any other team is either for the proud history, the nice hard working fans or more money than sense.
A player who chooses football chooses Man Utd, a player that wants riches go to highest bidder, the players slightly under the thumb mostly go to Europe! That simple. :)
