Have to say I was sorry to see Kante sign for Cheslea yesterday. I don't think we showed any interest in him, but I was hoping we might at some point in the summer. He was absolutely top draw last year all season. His stats alone were amazing, he covered more ground than any other player, he made more interceptions than any other player, he won more tackles that any other player, his energy was unbelievable and I thought he was the perfect player for us. He is the kind of player Jose usually likes, like another Makelele, and I'm very surprised we didn't at least try to sign him. I find it odd were after Pogba, yet another number 8 box to box, when we have Hererra, Schneiderlin, Sweinsteiger for that role, yet have no number 6. We genuinly don't have a number 6 o any quality. At £32m and 25 years old he's a bargain in today's market and I'd of loved to sign him. Anyway, let's see who else we target for midfield as I highly doubt the Pogba move myself.

Totally agree, he looks excellent and just the player to bring our the best in schneiderlin and herrera - schneiderlin and wanyama were great together, I could see him and Kante working just as well.

Maybe Chelsea was the only club he wanted, we didn't seem to make a move.

Oh well, i'm sure JM has a plan.

I might get a lot of stick for saying this is, but maybe Jose doesn't think Kante is the right fit for us.
Maybe he wants 2 midfielders, one spraying passes and the other box to box.

Kante was very impressive last season and certainly stood out at Leicester.

He could still sink at Chelsea. The expectations will be a lot higher. He certainly did move for CL ;) .

All in all I think we missed a good buy there, but I'm not not sure whether or not Mourinho was interested in him.

Kante never once last year stayed and patrolled DM, he was all over the park. He is a 6/ 7/ 8/ 9. We have more than enough midfielders and Pogba will be the icing on the cake. Looking forward to this season immensely.

Teddybear, Kante isn't a 6, but he's a 6/ 7/ 8/ 9? He's perfect for the 6 role. Who would you play as defensive cover who we currently have, as we know Jose loves one, magic for instance.
