Did not see the first 2 goals but only got to watch much later but have problem with the streaming. Anyway, understand that we lost 4-1 but feel that barring the result (for ego purposes), I think that to be fair, this should be a good eye opener for the team as far as their sharpness and fitness is concerned. It is a good opportunity for the team to work on their teamwork and gel together. Of course if it comes with a win that would be better but I am not fretting since I'd rather we lose some games in preseason so that Jose can troubleshoot the weakness, drill and prep the team for the season opening. Every game is important in the PL and there is no point winning and coming tops in preseason only to be missed out on the title challenge later. We have had that experience and that would set complacency and build wrong expectations (both players and fans) .

I would have like our team to win everything there is to win but the team have to gel first. This is not to say we will be letting Jose off but that this is a period for him to get the team together under his plan and synch the objectives. We can only start to comment near Christmas as a yardstick of his and the team's progress. I am still reasonably positive as I have told by some on the chat that we seemed to gel at some stage but still lack defensively. I will stay patient and am sure that Jose would have been the first to notice that. Don't forget, Jose has a reasonably big ego and will try not to let anyone dampen that. He will definitely do his best to get the team in shape.

I feel we should remain supportive and try to enjoy the game and look at the improvements to come. Sorry long note as I am frustrated I couldn't get to watch the entire match in a smooth way. Great weekend to all.

We created more clear opening than BD did. Missed a few one on one situations.

I thought some of the play today was very good in phases.

I am in no doubt that come the start of the season, we will be ready to rock and roll.
