Question for people who follow the youth team. Those who watched pogba at 18 and TFM and is there a big difference between the two and what's TFM ceiling in peoples opinion.

Pogba and TFM are very different players in my opinion.
Pogba is a box to box midfielder with his best attributes his passing, strength on the ball and long range shooting.
TFM is a defensive minded player who is a strong tackler and is decent with the ball at his feet.

I would have to say that Pogba at 18 was a better player than TFM is now. Pogba used to absolutely dominate the mid-field for us in the u21s etc.

I believe Pogba, TFM and Herrera/ Schneiderlin could make a very formidable mid field pairing for us in the future (ie if we get Pogba)

I have to disagree with kdevil10. When Pogba was here, we had midfield trio of Tunniclife and Ravel Morrison. Used to watch all the u21. Hoping they will all move to first team. Pogba wasn't exactly `absolutely dominating matches', I honestly can remember other 2 playing better on average.
Game against Liverpool, it was either final or very important matches, and Pogba went ahead and got himself red card with silly challenges. Even that time Tunniclife was like leader and worked his ass off and won the game with one man down.
TFM, for me feels like will become absolute star.
But loads of factors environment or otherwise (have huge impact on development.

Tunnicliffe and Morrison were not better footballers than Pogba and never will be. TFM is good but he is not as advanced as Pogba was at the same age and we will never be talking about a world record fee for TFM but he can be a good player.

RedSamurai - Yes Pogba lost his head in that game, but to suggest that Tunicliffe was at the same level as Pogba is ridiculous.
Ravel and Pogba were the players who stood out most of the time if not always.

Ravel stood out all the time, pogba stood out in a few games, tunnicliffe in just as many, he was thought if as future first team captain at the time. Pogba was not bossing games every week and to say so is just revisionism.
