While most have been concerned over transfers of players I noted we have brought on board two new signings in the back room.
Firstly Spurs U18 coach, the very highly thought of Kieran McKenna

Then I read tonight we have brought on board Gerado Guzman, the head scout of Athletico Madrid. I recommend reading the names of who he has successfully scouted.

It says to me that at last we are planning properly, underpinning the club with a view to the future. We hope they will be successful but it shows a direction, a thought process that hasn't been there for a long time. Who knows if it is Jose's doing but it does appear roots are being put down for the future to match the challenge made by the Stockport crowd. At last.

I think that it will be City chasing us this season i think our biggest challengers will be Conte's Chelsea this year but i'm confident that the title will be United's again.

Singh, I'm no Chelsea fan but I would say Chelsea are 10 years ahead of Utd if anything. Look at the trophies their development teams have won in the last few years.

Ellis that is where you are wrong. U18 football at this level is not all about winning trophies it's about developing players. There ate more United graduates plying their trade thrift the league's than from any other club many in the epl. More United acadamy graduates have won premier ledge medals than any other clubs graduates.

Tell me how all the Chelsea youth cup winners have fared over the past 10 years.
U18 is not all about winning its about training educating and preparing. Nobody has had more success than United graduates at senior level.

I had a really good discussion with a Chelsea fan and he totally agrees with me that Chelsea are 10 years behind unite.

If Chelsea are 10 years behind United then where does City come into. You can buy as mny shiny pithes as you wantt but United have a lot of good players come throuh the academy each year not all make it to firstteam but majority of them stay in premier league.

Ken, Chelsea have only been dominating Youth competitions over the last 4 years roughly and the majority of the players are still at the club so of course it'd be hard to point out what they've done over the last 10 years.
