One thing I noticed during the game was that more than the setup, the ref lost us the match.

Fellaini was effectively taken out of the game after his yellow card, which I didn't even think was a foul. He didn't raise his arm, he was just jumping and the city player just jumped right into his arm. It wasn't a foul let alone a booking. For good measure, Fellaini should have just given him a nice elbow later in the game just to even things up.

Bravo should have been sent off for that lunge on Rooney.

And did anyone see the Otamendi challenge on Valencia where Silva got the yellow card. It was a straight studs up challenge and definitely deserved more. But rather, ref chose to book Silva and let otamendi walk free.

The Bravo challenge just highlights the need for video refereeing. At full speed it was quite a hard one to gauge, even though you could quite clearly see Bravo was out of control and studs up. From the reverse angle you could also see he didn't get the ball and went straight into Rooney's leg.

The ref definitely cost us a point but in that first half it wasnt clattenburg not pressing citys back 4, not picking up de bruyne and silva and falling asleep at the back.

The players didn't turn up and mourinho made mistakes. It happens but i am sure we will get more decisions in our favour this season than not.

I think the referee's performance distracts from the fact that city tactically outclassed us in the first half. Bravo's mistake gave us a bit of confidence going into the second half but city deserved the win. Second half they defended and countered brilliantly.

I think our deficiencies were very visible. However big matches are often decided by big decisions. We were 1-2 down, and could have had a penalty with them losing a man. That match could have ended very differently.

I don't like blaming the Ref, on the whole they are all pretty awful which over the course of the season balances itself out. Only complain about us not getting the penalty if you can hand on heart say you honestly believe we won't get a dodgy decision go our way this season?

How far back do you wanna go? Drogba scoring an offside goal at Old Trafford that cost us a title? Or Scholes goal being ruled out for offside when he was being played on by two players against Mourinho's Porto side on their way to UCL glory?

Decision go both ways and on the whole we don't end up any worse off than we gain.

We were out played in the first half due to a managerial error of judgement by our manager as shown by the much better second half performance after he put right those mistakes.

Its unfair to blame individuals as its a team game, but if we are then we all know its always Rooney's fault. Lol.

Its funny how when a corner comes in the slightest touch on a keeper and a free kick is awarded.
So to even it up it should be a rule, keepers can't challenge with there feet.

Every team gets their fair share of good and bad decisions by the referee over the corse of the season. We didn't deserve to win regardless of whether they went against us or not.

I wouldn't say that they tactically outclassed us. We were beaten by an in form De Bruyne. It was a game where all the goals came through mistakes of the opposition. In the second half, we could and should have scored but it was a park the bus from City this time and proven by the fact that they brought on a defensive midfielder for a striker.

Regardless of whether we deserved to win or draw, the referee made a clanger by not sending Bravo off. City played brilliantly in the 1st half but we started the 2nd half on the front foot and the sending off would have changes the game. It was a ridiculous decision and cost us at least a draw.

I think the most telling aspect to come out of the game was that bravo will cost city more points this year than he saves them. He cannot catch crosses. I can't wait to see him against the likes of Stoke!

{Ed041's Note - also united we're utter tripe for 4 mind and could of easily got at least a point.
