In reply to some of the comments about Jose,
Does anyone on here remember fergies first years?, total nightmare, Stretford end calling for him to be sacked,
Really bad signings, REALLY BAD,
It took time,
Some parallels can be drawn between then and now, so, ease off, let him offload the dross, and bring in team players,
Build a squad that can do things, he's no fool, early days yet,
And in my opinion, you can see the team moving forward, not like with moyes or lvg
Ok we need defenders, but tbh there's not many quality defenders out there better than we've got,

Footballs changed, I don't think any manager, especially at a top side, will get the same time fergie got at the start of his tenure.

I am all for giving managers time, the problem is the amount of money the last two managers have had and the mistakes they have made. Everyone loves a Pogba and Di Maria, but were they players we needed at that time? Since losing Evra, vidic and Ferdinand went the focus should have been defence. If that was sorted 3 years ago, they would have been settled by now, with de gea behind them we could have then added the matas, falcaos and pogbas to an already established base.

agreed. apart from the lack of quality defenders around :-) - with our funds we could get anyone (Assuming they want to come obviously)

Hi Plastic. Really good post mate. It seems to be a lot more level headed than many other posts on here at the moment.

God forbid if fergie was starting out now, he would get slated. It took him time to get it right and he also made some expensive signings for that time.

But the club persisted and reaped the benefits. We HAVE to give jose the benefit of any doubt as he has a fantastic track record. Plus we can not go with the view that we can change manager again as it brings nothing but instability and uncertainty.

Getting smashed by the city B team really won't help him, so let's hope we won tonight.

A lot of people were saying the same about LVG. Where do you think we will be in 3 years time if we had stuck with him? Can we just call a spade a spade.

He is doing very bad at the minute, if he doesn't improve he will lose his job. I'm tired of excuses and going back 30 years to make a point. Hopefully he will improve and it is too soon to make a final judgment but without a doubt he should be doing better with the tools at his disposal, no if's but's or maybes.

JM teams really only come good in his second season in charge. His first season is usually about getting rid of the deadwood and finding his core of players that he likes. Whilst in the second season he usually buys the final missing pieces. Whilst I'd love Utd to continue floundering, I think it'd be stupid to not at least wait til he's had a second summer window given his history.
