and there I was hoping it was just taking a while for jose to bed into the club, why are people in the club not learning lessons on player and staff recruitment? i'm guessing it was martial who wanted the move? if all these transfers happen and then jose leaves, we have to start over again with a new manager who will have a bunch of players he doesn't want. i'm wondering now whether we should have stuck with LVG and the plan the club had, time will tell but at the moment utd seem to be in a bit of mess which won't be a quick fix.

{Ed002's Note - I don't understand the question about Martial. Clubs don't change all of the players when a manager moves on. The owners would have liked to stuck with LvG and gone down their route one - the toxics put an end to that plan and cost the club a great deal of money.}

sorry ed I read the passage about ibrahimovic in your previous reply incorrectly, thanks for your reply.

Cheers ED002 I understand why you call the fans toxic. It takes time to rebuild a team and mistakes will happen and results won't go our way. Patience is required not throwing money needlessly. Mourinho certainly looks unhappy and doesn't look like he has the heart to finish the job. Maybe a miraculous return for Giggs beckons 😉.

ed002 if what you say is correct, then why did jose sign for utd or more importantly why on earth did utd get mourinho, i mean we are man utd we can get a decent manager who would want to be here and we clearly don't need someone who doesn't want to be here, by the way if it is no trouble what was his preferred location, i don't see anyone other than real madrid wanting to sign him and even that would be a tough sell given zidane just won ucl.

{Ed002's Note - It was a mistake. ZI wanted to move to Milan but money was an issue.}

this will be a good read for beast, he has been saying jose doesn't look happy for a few week now .
i also don't see pogba being around to long.

Yes an interesting read, thanks, there is a lot that Ed 02 and I agree on here. The thing with fans (Toxic or otherwise), is that they care more about what happens on the pitch than off it. It's a shame for the business side of the club that their plans were not achievable, but the business only exists because of what happens on the field and it was (and still is) totally unacceptable. One hand washes the other, I just hope we get back to being a force on the pitch and not just the boardroom!

As an aside, I predict a Real double swoop for Pogba and DDG in the not too distant future.

All a little negative doom and gloom this for me. Not sure where it's all coming from.
Pogba's career does belong here currently as he is a Utd player. For how long who knows. Ibra had a 12 month contract and maybe a further year and remains to be seen if he is desperate to leave he can go to Italy. He is free to leave at the end of the season. Can't comment on Miki but there is clearly a reason he isn't playing and that reason can't be a good one.

Jose has publicly stated he dislikes Manchester, but as in anything there is a period of adaptation. We're all in now with jose rightly or wrongly so he must be backed and given control to change the football side of things. Teething problems as with any new employee/ employer relationship. Relax everyone, and give it time.

Jeez ed that was depressing.
So we seem to be going backwards for the last few years.
Any news on when the new director will be coming in. cause we need it as soon as possible.

{Ed002's Note - The club have tried very hard but are still struggling to get their man.}

Gotta say I just don't but into these pearls of wisdom ED002. You may well have some insights of course but really that reads like a particularly bitter piece of journalism.
I value the input as always but it's very unlikely that as many mistakes at so many levels have been made as you make out, there have to be plans in place that surpass just a corporate machine.

Time will of course tell however the negativity in this piece could only be described as sounding toxic itself but against the club.

Just my 2 cents.

{Ed002's Note - Fine. I answered the questions as asked - I will leave the Manchester United posts and the transfer updates for a while.}

Interesting to read what Ed002 said. We all know the club has been run badly from the football side for some time. Red man and myself have mentioned this many times in the past.
After a hugely successful manager like saf, it always takes time to adjust.
Mourinho doesn't look happy but there again that's been his demeanour for the past 10 years. I think he will be successful and United will improve from the footballing side. They're already playing much better than last few years. I was at the Stoke match and we had 8 clear chances to score and missed 7 of them. Stoke had one shot that was ddg mistake. Same story against Burnley.
I think the press and other fans and most non United fans are dying to jump on the bandwagon. This club is a great club and will become great again and sooner rather than later.

well done Robbie, funny how on the day we might have had eds podcast someone has to pipe up, happens everytime, its fine if you don't agree with everything ed tells us but is there really any need to question it when its obvious he knows more than most? myself and many others would like to hear it when your ready ed002.

{Ed002's Note - It is clearly just going to bring grief - so it will go to the back of the list.}

12.) 17 Nov 2016
17 Nov 2016 08:31:38
@Robbiewood I do agree it doesn't make great reading and Ed's tone doesn't soften things.

Think positive.
Mouriniho has time to adapt and a few wins and the positivity will return.

No expects Pogba to stay for beyond 5 yrs but he isn't go to Italy they can't afford him.

Who knows what Miki will do but we have had mercurial individuals before and he has ability.

The back scene at Old Trafford has remained time locked because of tradition, I've asked and been told this personally. The changing rooms are modern and the corporate suites are better than Chelsea and Liverpool.

Nice one Robbie 002 comes on to give his opinion which most of us value more than anything on this site and you just insult him. It's people like you that make this site less enjoyable and ruin it for everyone. I mean, were you intentionally trying to insult him? Or did your ignorance just get the better of you?

14.) 17 Nov 2016

I was really enjoying Ed002's post and the interesting debate stemming from the brutally honest assessment of a man who is deeply entrenched in the football world and who can give us insights that the sensationalist click-bait mass media ignore.

Then you, Robbie, posted a comment that was insensitive, ill-educated and inappropriate for this forum - have you not followed the site in the past and seen what happens when you don't afford the Eds the respect they deserve for their unpaid and always informative efforts? You are entitled to disagree with their opinions but please bear in mind where you are and who you're talking to - please don't ruin it for the rest of us. I was so looking forward to Ed002's transfer update and have been checking the site much more idem than usual.

Just hope that Ed002 - and indeed the other wonderfful Eds - can look past these unhelpful posts and give the rest of us information- hungry supporters something else to look forward to as the cold winds of winter bite savagely deeper.

Ed002 did a podcast for us Liverpool fans and it was fantastic. Shame you have people like Robbie ruining it for you.

Not everyone will agree with eds comments, whichever ed it may be but to try and knock them down when they're giving their trustworthy opinions is utter nonsense. I'm sure Ed002 knows a lot more about the game then you Robbie. Shame on you, you've knackered it for everybody else now. Now do you understand why Ed002 says toxic fans?

Ah well, I'm glad to be a Liverpool fan :)

Excellent post btw Ed002.

Always one pipes up. Who is the director united are struggling to get Ed if you don't mind my asking? Do you see Jose staying on for the 3 years?

18.) 17 Nov 2016
17 Nov 2016 09:55:47
Haven't posted on here for a while

My 2 cent is that is going to take time and patience, we have had 3 years of bad management and a lot of players who are just playing for a wage, we are 3 months into the season now, plenty of time to put things right, I'm optimistic that Jose will be the right choice for us, he be determined to make us fearful once again, he has something to prove and the club does

And I agree with Ed002 on the layout of the club, that it has a 80s feel apart from the club shop, it's to do with keeping the tradition and history, the changing rooms haven't changed much in the last few years since Fergie retired.

Ed002 thanks for the feedback. Whether it be positive or negative it's still good feedback. If people cannot accept it then too bad. Don't let such bother you. Just remember one bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch.
If anyone cannot take the negative feedback just go one to the next positive one and enjoy yourself. If you want to challenge the feedback I am sure the Eds can take it but please have some manners. Nobody owes you a living to update or give you feedback.
Good job and please stay on this page all the Eds.

Ed002, we have been waiting for your promised explanation (as regards Manchester united perceived January transfers) for the last few weeks now. Does this mean we won't get it now?

{Ed002's Note - It means it won't be done today and will need to wait until all others have been done.}

Always a couple of veggies who have to ruin it.

Thanks for the info Ed002, and I look forward to hearing the podcast even if I have to wait a little longer for it. Your info in appreciated by at least 90% of us on here.

27.) 17 Nov 2016

It's kinda ironic that United are the club hanging onto history from the 80's.

28.) 17 Nov 2016
17 Nov 2016 12:18:57
That's not fair? Wow. Have you seen how many team sites there are on here? What God given right do you think we have to be anywhere near the top of the queue when no matter how many times we go through this some veggies decide to insult the Ed's?

I honestly wonder if it is other fans with alternate egos.

{Ed007's Note - Look at his posting history, a measly 6 posts - 4 of them are questions for Ed002 and 2 are replies to the Ed's replies - so he adds nothing at all to the site yet it's not fair?}

29.) 17 Nov 2016
17 Nov 2016 12:20:33
Here is the thing, there are always going to be 'trolls' on any site like this it's the internet! it's a shame a small minority have to be so confrontational. At the end of the day the Ed's give us prompt and informative responses, if you disagree that's fine but have some respect!

Difference of opinion is fine, that's what makes a sites like this so diverse.

However, make sure that if you disagree with a post, disagree in the correct manner.

Ed002 has left this page before for very simillar reasons and now he has gone again - just as we were about to get an update on UTD that we have all bee waiting for.

What's that supposed to be a dig nick?

Well done Robbie. some people never learn. Ed provides the info, like it or lump it keep your mouth shut and just be grateful of what u get.

I didn't like that bit of info ed as I prefer to see man united as rebuilding something special. But it's a reality check on where we actually are as a club and I salute you for it.
