Managers tend to lie in press conferences. Don't take his words as he says about transfers. Could do with him signing tbh but the reading game I would have played tuanzebe.

Yes Redcon - us fans are just used and abused and some of our fans know this and like it!

The whole point of press conferences is to allow the media the chance to inform the supporters about what is going on. The club (representatives) then pick and choose what they reveal, often it is pure lies for them to gain in some way (normally financially, but sometimes just to mislead opposition), therefore the people that suffer are the fans as they sometimes believe what is being told to them in good faith.

If a CEO of a public company deliberately misled their investors in this way they would be locked up. But because there is no recourse and the media benefit from the hysteria they help create it is just we the loyal fans that end up wasting our time and often money being lied to.

I put a value on my time, the utter disdain we are treated with by the club and media is frankly horrendous and they should scrap the press conference system. It is a waste of time and sums up the lack of morals endemic throughout society - exactly the same with politicians - saying one thing and doing another and very rarely being held to account, because gradually people just say "oh well, you can't expect them to tell us the truth in these scenarios, that would be potentially bad for them".

Because lies are condoned, every one does it now - ergo the whole thing is like watching a soap opera, ironic in so many ways.

Beast pal, don't be so precious that the big bad man on the T. V lied to you. Look at Klopp last year saying Balotelli will never play for him. He cost his club potentially millions by being stupid! Every manager does it. Fergie certainly did. It's part and parcel of the game mate, keep your plans close to your chest and by always saying you're happy with your squad, you won't have people low balling you for your players that are for sale and you won't have people hiking up already ridiculous prices for incoming players!

On a side note. It's beautiful watching a United team in full flow again. Keep taking one game at a time and hopefully we can slowly climb the table and be in touching distance of the top spot by March!
