Well last night was dissapointing, we had an excellent chance to really make it very tight at the top.

But that doesn't mean top four is now impossible, Jose has a great record in the games against the top teams, we still have to play 4 of the 5 teams above us. Win those games and top 4 is more or less garenteed.

My concern is that there seems to be some kind of hex hanging over us.

We had 49 shots against Stoke over two games, they had 12. Yet we came away with two draws.

You accept that occasionally but we have had more shots saved than any other team in the league. By a long way actually. If we had won every game where we had more than twice as many shots as the opposition we would be top of the league by 2 points.

I appreciate that we haven't always played the best football but we have done more than enough to be well in the title race and yet we find ourselves well off the pace. Its almost baffling.

We may have shrugged off our bad luck with injuries this season but it seems that we have picked up bad luck with oppositon keepers having their best performance of the season against us.

We just need to keep going and keep believing, top four is still in our own hands.

It is not bad luck shappy, while i agree the keepers we have faced have put in some really good performances but we have missed far too many sitters, if it happens once it is bad luck if it happens as many times it has happened to us this season there is something wrong with our finishing something mourinho and his coaches should be correcting.

I agree CSM . has happened too many times to attribute it to luck. The Eva curse maybe

CSM, that's why I said it feels like we have some kind of hex over us.

We are creating chances and yet some how regardless either we miss or their keeper pulls off a world class save.

I'll say it again we have had more shots saved than any other team in the league.

We didn't play great last night yet Hull's keeper was probably the best player on the pitch last night.

And that's not the first time an opposition keeper has been the stand out candidate for MotM.

Surely that bad luck can't last all season, there has to be at least a few games where the opposition keeper has a poor game.

We have good players who in previous seasons have been good and consistent goalscorers, Rooney just became the clubs all time leading goalscorer, Zlatan, Mata, Mkhitaryan, Martial and Rashford have all shown themselves to be good goalscorers, one of Pogba's big strengths is his long shot accuracy.

Lee grant was excellent as was Tom Heaton but the finishing of our team is down right awful. Far to many tame shots that are neither here nor there, stop giving goalkeepers chance to make saves and take the credit for our poor finishing, if it was worldies like David de gea was pulling off under Moyes and LVG then fair enough but it's not the majority of the time. Bring back Ruud to work with our forwards show these multi million pound players how to be absolutely ruthless in front of goal.

Shappy i agree with most of what you said apart from jose's great record against top teams. I agree he has it but this year we've struggled massively. Infact looking at the table we've only beaten 2 teams in the current top 10. But then if liverpool drop points away to hull this weekend will it be that bad a result? Weve had a lot of opportunities to get in the top 4 but we don't seem to have the appetite for it.

What are you on about shappy. Lost against city, lost against chelsea, drew against arsenal, drew against Liverpool twice and only managed to beat spurs by the odd goal. So 6 points from 18 is not a good record against the top teams in my book.
So not sure what you were trying to point out?
